I was excited to review this The Essential Gluten Free Grocery Guide as my friend, Leslie, has Celiacs disease. Gluten free has become an up-and-coming fad, and sometimes we forget that people actually live with a disease that limits their intake of certain foods. With this book they can easily find products that will not give them a reaction when they go to the grocery store. This book is divided up into color coordinated categories ( like “dairy and eggs” or “the baking aisle”) for easy reference. The book even comes with special notifications next to some products for people with severe allergies that although the product may be gluten free, cross contamination is possible due to products within the manufacturing plant.
I’m sure this will make it easier for her to safely select brands that she can eat without having to worry if a certain product may inadvertently contain gluten- like a chocolate bar or pudding. It also contains an index in the back for vitamins and supplements that will not contain gluten!
